NIPNLG Financials (2017)
We are grateful to all the individual donors who support the National Immigration Project, as well as our dues-paying members. Your belief in our work enables NIPNLG to build a fierce, progressive defense against anti-immigrant laws and policies, while pushing forward a pro-immigrant agenda. Support from individuals like you remains critical to our success. Individual gifts and membership comprised 38% ($476,000) of our Income in 2017. Large foundations, as well as a handful of small family foundations and donor-advised funds, comprised 46% ($581,000) of our 2017 Revenues. The remaining 16% was comprised of royalties, seminars, attorneys' fees, and publications, which round out our diverse stream of income sources.
At the heart of our work is the fundamental dignity of immigrants, people of color, and all marginalized people. Thanks to your support, NIPNLG has increased to 6 the number of legal experts on staff, substantially increasing our impact. Our goal is to continue to grow our revenues toward even greater impact and long-term sustainability in the fight for immigrant justice. In 2018, NIPNLG earned Guidestar's Gold Seal of Transparency.
